Legendary Muir Woods National Monument is a place of historic nature preserved for future generations where magnificent Coastal Redwood trees (Sequoia Sempervirens) tower majestically above the valley floor.
Hotel pick up service in Downtown & Fisherman's Wharf followed by a scenic and informative drive to the Golden Gate Bridge through several of the best San Francisco neighborhood's & the Presidio a former military area of great beauty.
Crossing the GG Bridge we stop at the northern vista point for stunning views of the bay & the bridge. Views continue as we then pass above the town of Sausalito and through portions of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area & Mt Tamalpais State Park which merge with Muir Woods. Arriving in Muir Woods your guide informs you of the best way to experience the grove & where the oldest trees are located. Approximately 1hr 15 minutes stay gives you time to see much of the grove and have time for the gift shop/cafe and the Visitor Center.
Visiting Sausalito to enjoy the art galleries,shopping , cafes , restaurants and yacht marinas. Views from Sausalito include the Bay Bridge, parts of the east bay and San Francisco. Approximately 1hr stay then we return you to your hotel but If you want more time in Sausalito there is available ferry boat, taxi, Lyft and Uber service back to San Francisco. Entrance fee to the Muir Woods National Monument is NOT included in the price of the tour
